But Allah wants to show us something here, his ability, what he can do. So Musa went to whose house? Fir'aun's house. Who picks him up? The wife of Fir'aun, Asiya, she picks him up and she takes him.
And then what did she say to Musa? What did she say to Fir'aun? It is possible that we can take him as a child. He might be a child. Let's take him. She convinces her husband Fir'aun. Fir'aun says no problem. Fir'aun is now raising the man who's going to destroy his kingdom.
Today normally we take the seerah of the Prophet ﷺ. But I do want to share with you some words of advice, insha'Allah ta'ala. That I hope, b'idhnillahi l-kareem, those words of advice will benefit me first and all of you. I just returned from the UK and there was some points of reflection, all of which is for myself, number one, and it's for all of you, b'idhnillahi l-kareem, number two.
And that is, my brothers and sisters, this religion that we have, wallahi, it's a blessing. It's the greatest blessing that we have. نعمة الإيمان, نعمة الإسلام, it's a blessing that Allah has poured onto us.
And it falls under the ayah, Today I have completed your religion for you. اليوم أكملت لكم دينكم وأتممت عليكم نعمتي and I have completed my blessing onto you. Islam and Iman is a blessing.
Allah says in another place in the Quran, Allah has poured onto you His blessings inwardly and outwardly. And what is very sad is that we recognize that Islam and Iman is a blessing, we understand that. But we don't show gratitude to it.
Every blessing that is given to us, what is needed from us, الشكر, that we show gratitude to it. They recognize the blessings of Allah and they reject it. That's what Allah said about the disbelievers and the majority of them are disbelievers.
Brothers, شكر allows the blessing that you have to remain for you. It will let that blessing that you now have, it will let it be, it will let it stay for you. And it will even bring you the blessings that you don't have, that are missing from you.
The scholars they say, الشكر قيد للموجود وصيد للمفقود شكر is what? It's a rope that brings you when you fish and you throw the rod in and you're trying to get the fish. شكر, gratitude, will bring you, it will hunt for you. The blessings that are out there that you don't have, they'll bring it to you.
And it will even allow the current blessing that you have to stay and remain for you. That's why Allah said in the ayah, If you show gratitude, I will increase the blessing for you. I'll increase, I'll make it more. This means that the current blessing is still there and more is coming. Only because of what? You show gratitude.
Brothers, Iman brings safety. That's why Allah said in the Quran, The people who have Iman, الذين آمنوا ولم يلبسوا إيمانهم بظلم and they do not destroy their Iman with shirk Those people are going to be guided and they're going to find safety. Allah gives safety subhanahu wa ta'ala with people of Iman and in their hearts.
And Wallahi brothers, if you wake up in the morning and you have safety, you have food to eat that day, and you have health, you have everything on this earth. Anyone who wakes up safe, they're not scared of anything. You have health, no illness. عنده with you is your daily intake, what you need to eat for that day you have it. The Prophet he said, It's like the entire world has been placed under your feet. What are you looking for? Why are you stressed? Why are you worried for?
Safety and tranquility comes with it. You know what also comes with it? A good life.
Allah also says in the Quran, Any man, any woman who comes with what? You do good deeds, but you're a believer. Because the non-Muslim can do good deeds. They can give charity. They can do good deeds. They're not going to get this good life. The condition is وهو مؤمن You do this good deed and you're a believer.
No one's going to tell you as it is. Then the most knowledgeable one, Allah. الخبير is Allah. He's saying to you. Who's more truthful than Allah? He is saying to you, I'll give you a good life. Is Allah a liar? No. He's telling you, I'll give you a good life, but you come with Iman.
He emphasizes this on another place in the Quran. Tranquility. Ease. Even though the person may not have much. They may not possess a lot. You find they have Deep down, relaxed.
Now that does not mean that you do not go through times of hardship. Times of sadness. Times of pain. That comes. That's the reality of this dunya. Iman is a privilege. It's an honor. And for Allah to allow you to have it. He's going to test it. He's going to put it to the test. It's going to be burnt. Are you real about it or are you fake?
So I used to see and I heard and I read that some groups in this world, some cults, if you want to be part of it, there's a ritual that you have to do. Sometimes very painful rituals. In order to be part of the group, they might cut you. They might burn you. They might stamp something on you. You have to show endurance in order to be part of this cult and group. What is that group? It's significant compared to an iman, to be a mu'min. So your iman will be tested. Or else the munafiq also claims iman.
Iman is not a mere claim. I'm a mu'min, and that's it. It's not. Your statement, I'm a mu'min, will be tested. It will be put to the test, and you have to make it through.
I read in the kitab, Tariq Baghdad. Tariq Baghdad. The full name is called Tariq Madinat As-Salam. It's written by Khatib al-Baghdadi, rahimahullah. In that book, he mentions the story of a great man. His name is Urwat ibn al-Zubayr. Urwat ibn al-Zubayr, he's from one of the highest knowledgeable tabi'in. Muhammad ibn al-Shihab al-Zuhri said about him, The ocean in knowledge. And he's from the seven jurists of Medina. He's a second. And he would enter onto our mother Aisha رضي الله تعالى عنها whenever he had any questions. A lot of the questions that is posed to our mother Aisha is through this man Urwat ibn al-Zubayr.
Urwat traveled from Medina one day. He traveled from what? Medina. And he went to Sham. On his journey to Sham, Urwat endured a lot of hardship. He even said لَقَدْ لَقِيْنَ مِنْ سَفَرِنَا هَذَا نَصَبَ I have endured from this journey hardship and pain.
When he got there, little did he know that he was actually diabetic. And so, people who are diabetic, sometimes their diabetes can get into a very serious situation where their body parts has to be amputated. So the doctor looked at his situation and he told him Urwat, your situation is that I have to amputate your leg or else it's going to spread to your body. It can be very serious. Urwat said no problem.
They told Urwat, but you have to drink alcohol. And this is ضرورة, necessity. There is no anesthesia where he wouldn't know. He's going to feel every single cutting and slicing of the body if he doesn't drink alcohol.
Urwat رضي الله عنه رحمه الله تعالى Imam, Jabal Asham رحمه الله He said, أَيَمُرُّ عَلَيَّ لَحْمَةٌ Is there going to go by in my life a moment لَأَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ فِيهِ where I won't remember Allah? Would somebody drink alcohol and take it in and not be able to remember Allah? This is when I'm most in need of Allah.
And the narration mentioned, he said, the time that I'm most focused and I'm able to focus on everything else around me I don't hear or see is when I'm in the Salah. So he said, I pray, and that's the moment I think it will be easiest for me. That's the time when you remember everything in the dunya, صح? That's the time we hear every conversations.
So Urwat رضي الله عنه رحمه الله تعالى went into the Salah and his leg was amputated. He finished the Salah, people came to him in large numbers saying to him, Urwat رضي الله عنه رحمه الله تعالى we heard what happened to you. So he said to the people, Relax, if you guys have come to me regarding my leg, I've already shown patience to my Lord and I carry to show, I carry on, I will carry on showing patience to him. I am in not, I'm not in need of your words.
They said, no, Urwat رضي الله عنه رحمه الله تعالى that's not why we have come. We have come to inform you that whilst you were praying, one of your sons, Muhammad رحمه الله تعالى which was the most beloved child to him, also went into a herd of animals. They stepped on him and he died.
And now he felt the pain. He went into prayer and he said, Allahumma رحمه الله تعالى Oh Allah رحمه الله تعالى لك الحمد حتى ترضى ولك الحمد إذا رضيت ولك الحمد بعد الرضى ولك الحمد على كل حال لك الحمد حتى ترضى ولك الحمد بعد الرضى ولك الحمد يا رب العالمين He said, Allahumma إِنَّكَ أَعْطَيْتَنِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَعْضَاءَ وَأَخَذْتَ وَاحِدَةً Oh Allah you gave me four limbs and you only took one. Oh Allah you gave me four sons and you only took one. From you it came and to you it returns. It was yours in the first place.
Brothers, when I read those type of stories I ask myself this question How does a person reach that level? And my brothers it comes through the statement of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah when he said In this Dunya there is a Jannah In this Dunya today there is a Jannah Anyone who doesn't enter the Jannah of this Dunya right now will not enter the Jannah of the Hereafter This Imam Urwat ibn Zubayr his heart is so filled with Allah and the Day of Judgement All of these things are very small and insignificant in his heart and mind
Abu al-Faraj ibn al-Jawzi rahimahullah, the author of the Kitab Sayyid al-Khatir they said rahimahullah he had the biggest gathering in Baghdad big Imam his gathering 5000 people would come they would listen to him in his gatherings 500 people everyday will repent and leave their ways people would embrace Islam if you read his works in Al-Jawzi you can see that from him he is an individual rahimahullah whose words are heart touching Ibn al-Jawzi not Ibn al-Qayyim Ibn al-Jawzi when he reached the age of 80 the ruler made a decision to not let him into Baghdad because he had numbers and followers and everything so he was banned from entering Baghdad he didn't complain الذين آمنوا وتطمئنوا قلوبهم بذكر الله ألا بذكر الله تطمئنوا القلوب the land he was born in the place where he was from so what did he do at the age of 88 he went and he sought knowledge and guess what science he went for القراءات حتى برع فيها until he became from the Imams of Qiraat يعني he turned a tough situation that he was put through what did he flip it into a positive situation
I read in the biography of Ibn Athir Ibn Athir was placed inside a a well and was locked in it and that's when he he carved into rocks his great book جامع الأصول أنا النهاية في غريب الحديث masterpiece Imam Ibn Taymiyya was imprisoned and he authored his كتاب التسعينية أنا الرد على الأخنائي every bad situation the مؤمن he always sees a light at the end of that tunnel as the Arabs say واصنع من الليمون شرابا هلوى make from a lemonade make from a lemon someone gives you a lemon make a lemonade out of it and this was a point that was stuck in my head the beauty of Iman that two people can go through the same situation but the way that they respond to it and the way that they react to it is different, it's the same thing one looks at it this way and the other one looks at it this way
Allah has given us many examples of that but one example is the battle of Ahzab it's one of the battles Allah describes immensely There is nothing from all the battles that are in the Quran which Allah described in this manner the eyes rolled up, the heart reached the throats everyone was confused there was a unique situation for the Sahabas battle is a hard thing brothers you got a wife, you got children it's a hard thing to do
the people in this battle Allah categorized them into two the first group of people were the believers وَلَمَّا رَأَى الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الْأَحْزَابَ when the believers they saw this situation what was their response وَلَمَّا رَأَى الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الْأَحْزَابَ قَالُوا هَذَا مَا وَعَدَنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَصَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَمَا زَادَهُمْ إِلَّا إِيمَانًا وَتَسْلِيمًا the believers they said Allah promised us this this was what we were waiting for this is the words of the Prophet are what we are seeing right now and they surrendered more and their Iman increased
the second group وَإِذْ يَقُولُوا الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضُ مَا وَعَدَنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا they said the exact opposite to what the believers said Allah and His Messenger deceived us one situation but the response is different, why? الإيمان what is inside these people's hearts and minds is different and what they carry is different two cars can have the same body but if the engine is different are the cars going to be different? and the speed and everything ايه نعم these people what's inside them is something remarkable
brothers I read and all of you I know you've seen it and this story whenever I look at it my jaw drops how shocking this is I hope and I ask all of you to pay attention to this story as you all know Nabiullah Musa the year he was born was the year who Firaun was taking the lives of what? every boy that year Musa was born was the year that Firaun was killing the boys, there was one year he wouldn't kill and one year he would Harun was born the year where he wasn't killing the boys or he wasn't killing anyone and the year Musa was born was the year he was what? ok please listen to this story how remarkable it is
Musa his mother she wanted to protect Musa from Firaun she does not want to lose Firaun so Allah Ta'ala he inspired her Allah says she was told what to do they would come to her house they would knock they want to see if she's got a baby or anything because they know she was pregnant before they want to know hey when did you give birth to him a boy or a girl so as you all know she tied Musa Alayhi Salaam to a basket and she put him in the ocean and the sea and it went off please listen to this story where did the basket go huh who did it go to the one person that everyone was running away from
but Allah wants to show us something here his ability what he can do so Musa went to who's house Firaun's house who picks him up the wife of Firaun she picks him up and she takes him and then what did she say to Musa Alayhi Salaam what did she say to Firaun Asa is possible it is possible that we can take him as a child he might be a child let's take him she convinces her husband Firaun Firaun says no problem Firaun is now raising the man who's going to destroy his kingdom
are we all together brothers and he's still taking the lives of so many boys to come still but little does he know he's growing up where Musa Alayhi Salaam he's growing a house of Firaun now if Firaun refuses what what did Firaun refuse Musa refused the breast milk of every woman he said I don't want any breast milk from any other he's crying he's refusing he will not take any breast milk Asa tried this woman and she tried this woman and none of the women was he accepted who saw the situation the sister of who Musa she saw the situation she knows this is her brother she can't say the mother is she can't say that she said I might know a woman who can breast feed Musa and he may not refuse that's what Allah meant when he said we're going to return him back to you who did Musa come back to his mum this is not the part that takes me by surprise this is the part that takes me by surprise
Asir that sits with the mother of who, Musa not knowing this is the mother of Musa she says I will pay you to breast feed this child think of this not only she's seen her child she's funded by the ruler of the country a man everyone is worshipping Pharaoh was rich he even says أَلَيْسَ لِمُلْكُ مِسْرًا he had the kingdom of Egypt أَلَيْسَ لِمُلْكُ مِسْرًا وَهَذِهِنْ أَنْهَارُ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِ his oceans his rivers were all his very rich everything, Musa goes back to the house of his mum and guess what his mum is told leave your house and live in this palace and breast feed this boy and get funding and taken care of financially that's what we don't understand
brothers you right now who was taking care of you the 9 months that you were in the womb of your mothers, who was taking care of you who brought you rizq in that dark place who brought you rizq huh Allah brought it for you you've now come out you're walking on this earth you're exerting effort to bring that rizq why would he forsake you subhanahu wa ta'ala rizq is written وَفِى السَّمَاءِ رِزْكُكُمْ وَمَاتُوا عَدُونَ your rizq is what it's written
but what I don't understand brothers is if you look at the ayah وَمَا خَلَقُتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونَ what comes after it مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُطْعِمُونَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِيرُ Allah is telling us I created you all to worship me and right after that he mentions about the issue of rizq meaning with ibadah فَاللَّهَ رِزْقُكَ you'll be taken care of yes there is effort that is needed from you but rely on Allah the bird does not have any savings a bird does not have any savings it doesn't put anything for tomorrow or the day after the bird each day wakes up empty stomach and goes and gets what he wants and comes back feeds itself and feeds its children and the Prophet said to us لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ تَوَكَّلْتُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ حَقَّ تَوَكُلِهِ لَرَزَقْتُمْ كَمَا يَرْزُقُ الْطَيْرُ تَغْدُوْ خِفَاسُ وَتَرُحُ بِطَانَةً if you relied on Allah the way that the bird relies on Allah look at that Allah will provide for you the way that he provides for the bird it leaves with an empty stomach and it comes with an empty stomach the bird does not have savings the brother here he has savings he's got money and he's worried and he's concerned are we all together brothers have tawakkul rely on Allah azza wa jalla he's the one who's going to give it to you subhanahu wa ta'ala
so my brothers as Muslims we need to appreciate iman that we have also what I wanted to say brothers is we don't spend as much time as what is needed from us when it comes to purifying our nafs we take so much information of the deen we come to this class and go to another class we listen to a lecture and this lecture how much of that is really to purify and clean our hearts tazkiyah to nafs ya brothers that's why we are finding and we're seeing people who have so much information but the information and the knowledge is not equal to the heart so he thinks he's a student of knowledge he's a talib ul ilm and he has no tazkiyah to nafs he's the furthest from that title of student of knowledge or a talib ul ilm or a person who's learning about his deen
one of the things my brothers and sisters we can do to clean our hearts and fix it it needs to be washed just like the cloth needs to be washed is to go and visit the graves who from amongst us went recently and visited a grave and looked and pondered and said this is going to be my place soon he didn't go because somebody died he went there because he wanted to see your real home the Prophet he said kuntu lahaytukum a'n ziyaratil qaboori fazoorooha fa innaha tudakkeerukum bil akhira I used to warn you from going to visit the graves I am now instructing you to go and visit the graves for it reminds you of the hereafter look at the hadith tadakkurul akhira remembering akhira is a matlab shar'i it's something within the deen that we have to go and remember the akhira
the poet he said mathil wuqoofika yawmal ardi uriyanan mustawhishan qaliqa al ahsha'i hayrana walnaahu talhab min ghaythin wa min halaqin ala al'usati wa rabbu al'arshi ghadbana iqra kitabaka ya abdallahi ala mahalin fahaltara fee harfan ghayra ma kana lamma qara'ta walam tunkir qira'atahu iqrara man arafa al ashya'i irfana nada al jaleel khuduhu ya malaikati wamdu bi abdi al asa linnari atshana almujrimuna ghadan finnari yaltahibu walmu'minuna fee dari alquldi sukana the poet he said mathil wuqoofika yawmal ardi uriyanan you just prayed a salah today or salatul isha that standing is going to be a day where you're going to stand in front of Allah think of it mathil wuqoofika make this stand equal to that stand and ponder when you stand in front of Allah when Allah says wana da'ul mawazina alqista liyawmi alqiyamah fala tuzalamu nafsun shay' that day the scale will be placed no one will be oppressed, not even a mustard seed fa in kana mithqala habbah if it's a mustard seed of what you did ateyna biha wakafa bina hasib you'll be counted for it everything will be brought wawud'a alkitabu fatara almujrimina mushriqina mimma feeh yaquluna yawailatana ma lihazal kitab la yughadiru saghiratan wala kabiratan illa ahsaha wawajadu ma'amilu haadiran wala yadrim rabbuka ahada your scale will be put in front of you mathil wuqoofika yawma al'ardi uriyanan you're not wearing any clothes
Ali ibn Abi Talib one day he picked up a cup radiyallahu ta'ala anhu those cups they were made from clay, and the clay is taken from where? the earth taken from the earth and it's mixed he looked at it and he said ajaban fascination that this clay may contain the face of a person who centuries a long long time ago died his face the earth swallowed him it was a face he used to moist put cream on take care of oil it the head which he would comb make it look beautiful it's become his cup sah? the body that you're now taking care of you're making sure it looks good the earth will eat it the only thing that will remain is from your life will be your righteous deeds nothing else everything else will go that's why the old generation of scholars they used to bury themselves a grave in their houses and they would lie inside it they would prepare for that day, they would sleep in their graves and they would say oh Allah give me a second chance so I can go back to the dunya so I can do good deeds and then he would get up and he would work hard and he would say to himself you've been given a second chance
oh Allah brothers we are heedless the time is very close in another place it says there's a portion of that day where you won't even be standing in front of Allah a whole entire surah has been named where you won't be standing in front of Allah you will find every nation on their knees everyone every nation will be called to their book Allah said this is our book this book it speaks nothing but the truth everything you said and you did was written that people are only two those who believed, who came with iman this blessing I was talking about today was my verses not recited on you you were arrogant you were arrogant, full of yourselves when you were told qiyam is going to happen you're going to leave this you were arrogant
so my brothers one of the things we need to do is that the knowledge it has to change us these classes that we come to these durs that we do it has to change us inside it has to bring us near to whom Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala it has to show at work that this rizq is a stepping stone to the akhira or else we have not shown Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala what shukr this blessing of iman
and wallahi when you go to the lands of the non-muslims you see you see how they're struggling they have big paid jobs they've got so much at their disposal but they are struggling you find a muslim who doesn't know what's going to eat that day he's laughing and he's smiling he's happy he's got I find the more I travel people are depressed and sad and I honestly say a lot of it goes back to this topic of iman the relationship that you have with the people cannot really affect you as much if your relationship with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is what if he's strong
I read sheikh Nasser rahimahullah sheikh al albani he wrote a kitab called sifah salat al nabi and when he was writing the book he mentioned that he knows that this book there's going to be a lot of people who are going to criticise me he said for writing this book what's he talking about what's the topic how the prophet prayed he said I know it's not going to make everyone happy walastu minajin min maqalati ta'irin you're not going to be ever safe from the statement of a criticiser even if you live in a mountain walastu minajin min maqalati ta'irin walaw ghaba fee walaw kunta fee jabri wa'lim even if you're in a mountain you're hidden from the people they don't see you they've got something to say about you they say you know why he's in the mountain ha he's a bit majnun waman dalladhi yanju minan nasi saliban who is the person who's going to be safe from the people walaw ghaba fee khaafatai nasirin
I read in the kitab attabbihul ghafilin ba abi laytha sabarqandi that Musa one day spoke to Allah he said ya Allah my Lord Allah people are criticising me they're saying so much things about me it's really hurting me Allah subhana wa ta'ala said to him Musa Musa what is it that you want? he said oh Allah I want people to stop doing this to me Allah said to Musa I have not done this for myself why would I do it for you? I have not done this for myself waqalu taqad al rahman walada laqad ji'tum shay'an idda taqadu al sabawati wa tafattarna minhu wa tanshaqqu al ardi wa taqirru al jibali adda adda'u lilrahmani walada wa ma yanbaghi lilrahmani an yattakhila walada in kullu man fis samawati wal ardi illa atil rahmani abida they said Allah has a child does he have a child? can he prove it to them? can he destroy them all for those who are saying it? he doesn't he's given to them he's provided for them
the poet once said u'allimuhum limayata kulla yawmin falamajtadda sa'iduhu ramani wakam'allamtu nazmal qawafi falamma qala qafiyatan hajani every day I teach this man archery u'allimuhum limayata kulla yawmin every day I'm teaching him archery when he learnt it and he mastered it the first person he threw the arrow at was me the person who was teaching him I taught him poetry and how to write poetry the first poetry in which he constructed that he directed it at me hada adatul bashar that's what the norms of the people there's always going to be people who hate you
lakin al mu'min has eternal strength I realise what it is the people because of social media and their connection to social media the comments section sah? comments section when you read it what people say about you yah? people live for that because what's missing is innama mut'imukum li wajhillah la nuridu minkum jaza'a wala shukura innana khafu min rabbina yawman abusan qam tarira they were not doing it in the beginning for who? for the sake of Allah they were doing it so the people can say good and now that they haven't received what they wanted, it really hurts them again that does not mean that what people say does not hurt you of course it's going to hurt you it hurt our Prophet wala qad na'alamu annaka yadhiqu sadruka bima yaqooloon but what do you do after that? fasabbih bihamdi rabbika wakum minassajideen ahmad rabbaka hatta yatiakal yaqeen the Prophet was directed on what he needs to do sit down when people's statements hurt you or what they say to you sit down and say subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah
I'm going to conclude with a very profound story we all know brothers and sisters how the sahabas were at the time of the Prophet a verse came down wa Allah tabarak wa ta'ala wa lillahi mulku as-samawati wa al-arbi wa lillahi ma fi as-samawati wa ma fi al-arbi for Allah is the what? what's in the heavens and also what's in the earth all of this for whom? and that's part of the verse came down, which is what? fa intumidu ma fi anfusikum aw tuqfuhu yuhasibkum bihi Allah if you bring out what's inside you and you act upon it or if you hold it inside your heart and you don't act upon that feeling or that thought you will be punished for it regardless Allah will account you for it so I thought of doing something wrong I didn't do it, I just thought of it just by thinking of it yuhasibu bihi Allah Allah will account you for it
when this ayah came down the sahabas they came crying to the prophet they said Ya Rasulullah this we can't do we're human beings bad thoughts comes to our minds and our hearts and we don't act upon it we let it go but we're gonna be held account just for thinking it that's what the ayah says Allah said to them, the prophet said to them are you going to say we hear and we disobey are you gonna say what the Jews said we hear and we disobey say what? we hear and we obey so what did they say? oh Allah forgive us for what? for our mistake the statement that we shouldn't have said it we shouldn't have said oh Allah we're not gonna act upon the verse what came down the ayah after it as soon as they said that we hear and we obey oh Allah forgive us for our shortcomings what came down you will only be held account for what you do not the thoughts that come to your mind
Ibn Al Qayyim said and remember this when you come to a verse and you think to yourself you can't act upon it and you find it very hard or there's a situation where you think you cannot hold on to the deen on this particular issue say oh Allah I obey you and I hear what you say and ease will come for you just like it came for the sahabas when this situation was on their heart and mind
Subhanakallahumma wabihamdik, wa shadu an la ilaha illa anta.
